 Fire
Prevention and Safety
Elbert
Fire is dedicated to educating our community about fire safety. The first week
in October is fire prevention week and includes visits to the station from the
elementary students. Coloring contest winner’s artwork is proudly displayed on
our ambulance and engines for 1 year!
CPR/ First Aid Classes for all ages, Fire Safety Inspections, Demonstrations
and Station Tours are also done throughout the year.
Contact us for more information and scheduling.
 Fire
Pup
Fire Pup joined Elbert Fire & Rescue
in October of 2008. He is a key presentation for the department’s efforts
towards fire prevention and safety. He has been invited to functions in the
Elbert Fire district and other events in a growing county wide effort to educate
the public and train a growing number of department member’s in the joy of
working with in-terested parties. He is available upon request to go to any
department fire prevention & safety and funds for good cause based events. For
more information contact Fire Pup through his
email.
Throughout the years Elbert Fire has teamed up with
other organizations to help raise money for great
causes. Including MDA’s Fill the Boot and the
American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. We are
also known to don our pink shirts to help raise
awareness for breast cancer. |

Friday October 1st was Fire Prevention Day at Elbert
Fire Dept. Many classes from the school came to learn
about fire safety, meet Fire Pup and Smokey Bear and was
able to explore all of the apparatus. Captain Harrower
has done this for many years and has enjoyed everyone of
them and looks forward to years to come. Thank you to
all who helped out and to the teachers for taking the
time to bring the kids. We enjoyed having them.
